flashing tutorial

HOW TO FLASH CORBY OR TO CHANGE FIRMWARE:

Hello guys here is tutorial how to change firmware of corby.
i have made my best to simplify the steps as possible.

cautions: Improper flashing or changing firmware with the files which are not meant for Corby , can make your phone dead or brick it. Follow the steps properly as shown and please avoid sudden power failure. 

Back up all data before flashing like contacts, memo , messages, important bookmarks and move the file which are on the mobile to your memory card.

SO HERE WE GO!!!

First of all download the Samsung pc studio and install it on your pc.(if it is already installed skip this step)     

DOWNLOAD: Samsung pc studio

note:After installing connect your mobile via USB cable and check your mobile is detected.(if not detected download the latest version)

if mobile is detected close pc studio and follow on to the next step.

Second, Firmware download (download the desired firmware you want to flash it with)

caution:please don't download any android firmware or other firmware which are not meant for corby.

 note: If  you want to change theme in corby then download S3650XEIJ2 firmware. All other corby firmware does not support themechange.

DOWNLOAD: Corby firmware

Moving on the next step:   

After downloading the desired firmware. A flashing software is required.

DOWNLOAD: MultiLoader_V5.56.exe

Now after you have downloaded the firmware extract it in a folder.

Follow the step to flash: 

connect your corby with help of usb cable to your computer or laptop in pc studio mode.

let the drivers load and samsung pc studio will open, if your phone is recognized properly.

After that close the samsung pc studio.

now open the  MultiLoader_V5.56.exe and click port search option.

click the port search option 3 to 4 times until your phone goes to the download mode and the name of the mobile appear at the search box like s3653 or s3650.

Here is a view of the download mode:

now open the folder where you have extracted the firmware. 

And drag the file to the multiloader. 

note:Always choose Rsrc2_S3650(Low).rc2 or rc2 lower version file. If you choose (mid) or (hig) rc2 file, you phone may not switch on.

Put the boot, factory, rc1 ,rc2(low) and app.bin  file to multiloader.

 

If all this is done..click on the download option in the multiloader.

After this please do on disconnect the phone in between the flashing process .

After the flashing is done. downloading complete will be shown

note: Do not disconnect your phone until downloading complete is shown. If it is not shown try to flash it again until it is shown.

After download complete is shown , disconnect the phone and power on it and yaaahhoooo!!!

your corby is flashed now. to check the firmware type *#1234# in num pad and it will display the firmware version wich you have flashed with. :)
