Welcome to the Gold Rush. In California Gold Rush Bonanza mine and you should find gold and diamonds to get further in the game, for that you use your pickaxe and dynamite if necessary, but be careful with the ghosts.
When your bag is full, just empty it into the wagon that sits on the surface to continue the hunt for gold. Try to complete the stage without spending a lot of energy, every movement of every character or use of the pick is spending a power point, then think again.
